How do I get my wedding guests to RSVP?
Make answering take under a minute, set a deadline that leaves room for follow-ups, and follow up on a rhythm instead of all at once. Most guests who haven’t answered aren’t saying no. The invitation got buried, or they were waiting on a detail.
The plan, step by step
- Start from your caterer’s date. Ask when they need the final number. Set your RSVP deadline at least 3 weeks before it. That leaves room for two follow-ups and a last personal message.
- Make answering easy. One link, no account, no app. Yes or no, how many are coming, a meal choice. If it takes longer than a minute, some guests put it off.
- Follow up on a rhythm. A first follow-up about 5 days after the invitation. A second about 5 days after that. Only to the guests who haven’t answered.
- Change the channel. If two emails got no answer, a text often does.
- Answer questions fast. Guests often hold their answer until they know something: are kids invited, is there parking, what time does it end.
- Send the last few yourself. Near the deadline, a short personal message from you does what a reminder can’t.

If you’d rather not run it yourself
Replied runs steps 3 to 6 for you. It follows up in your voice with every guest who hasn’t answered, by email and then by text for guests who said yes to texts, on a rhythm set to your deadline. Your own wedding concierge answers guests’ questions as you. Near the deadline, it hands you a short message for anyone still quiet, so the last few hear from you. Every answer lands in one headcount.
If we don’t get every reachable guest to answer by your deadline, you get a full refund.
